    Tarja Turunen pt. III

One foot note about her performances singing older and newer stuffs, her chest voice seems to work much better with her solo songs than Nightwish ones, maybe because they are written and meant to be sung that way. There's some exception though, like Over the hills and far away where her chesty vocals work with the verse pretty well. PS: sr OAFA is not a NW song anyway, my bad

I like her stage outfit, she looks hot in those leather

Her daily life photos are the most beautiful and natural ones of them all, hope she'll include them in one of her album covers one day.

She always makes weird covers doesn't she, the Colours in the dark and The Shadow Self ones are no better, pretty badly photo shopped

Song names sound interesting, Track 6 looks like a song with many acts! I hope we'll have a chance to hear songs like Too Many more often in the upcoming album, it's one of her best songs yet

Haha so it's true the album is coming out in August, predictable Tarja . Oh and I'm kinda enlightened knowing the inspiration behind the album's tittle, even though the reason she picked gold for its being "raw" doesn't truly make sense to me, cause you know any kind of elements are always raw in their nature, like diamonds, for example are also raw if not polished.

I guess most of Tarja's new fans wouldn't mind the direction or vocal change she's heading into now, taking a look at the comments on the new video I see only praises. I believe she never knows there's hardcore fans like us who have been following her career for long enough to be critical of every shifts and turns she makes. To get back on track, I agree with many of you guys about Dead promises, it's not anyway a bad song, solid vocal performances, nice heaviness, but the song needs some tweaks here and there to make it feels more connected. By the way, I wonder what her inspiration is when she decided to put out that album tittle

Maybe it's because she likes it and feels happy singing in this style, she's been shifting into this for years and I guess she just won't change it anymore no matter we like it or not lol

To add some lines, the chorus is certainly the best part of the song in my opinion, very catchy and heavy tunes.

    Tarja Turunen pt. III

I kinda like the hook in which she sings with her deep chest voice, makes me wowed, like " wait a min, is that her singing that part"? else than that the guitar bridge before the punchy chorus in my opinion is anti climactic, like I was into the first verse and waiting for a thunderous chorus to jump in but got some filler guitar sounds instead. And the oh oh ah ah backing choir/vocals are way too cliche, too recycled to be precise. Anyway her single materials are usually underwhelming, this time it's much better than No bitter end though.

Let me guess, the new album will come out in August, if you pay attention, she'd always chose August for a new album, she's been doing this year after year since What lies beneath. Wonder if she's gonna do differently this time though

    The headphone thread

Er so i'm digging this thread up but I'm looking for a pair of in ear heaphones for metal, and of course also for other genres of music too if possible (cause I'm a bit of a universal music lover you know), so if anyone can recommend me one would be much appreciated, price should be in the range of 50-200 USD, thanks a lot

Agree, and I don't see a point of buying all of her albums just for some production experience

https://www.loudersound.com/features/tarja-turunen-10-records-that-changed-my-life Just came across this article in which she discussed her album collections from other genres. I'm very happy to know that she owns Lady Gaga's albums, since I'm also a Gaga's fan lol. I can already imagine Tarja doing a duet with her

I've noticed many female metal singers tend to mix corsets with their outfits/dresses on stage, like Tarja and Sharon, Floor does that too, while I love the gothic look of it, I wonder if wearing corsets affect the singing, cause it's pretty tight around the waist isn't it
