I don't hear her singing off key, she's pitchy at times, words like "will be" turned sharp when she soareed, but other than she stayed on the right key the whole song BTW Love to share this wonderful performance recently, I love that she tried to sing a little whiny in the beginning of the song, makes it sound even more sinister. Excellent breath control at the chorus parts

The Shadow self is a very great album on the whole, it features some experimental elements which we hadn't heard before in her previous albums, most of the songs are catchy, her vocals are on point and the mixing is solid, I just wish that she could have left out some filler songs, like No bitter end, and or maybe Demons in you. It's funny that in each of her album there is always an annoying filler song, I don't know if this is her idea or not but it doesnt work for me, and perharps not for her voice, too.

I'm kinda annoyed with the way he pronounced her name, lucky she didn't mind that but if it was me I would try to fix him.

Wow I'm jealous, I've always been dreaming of seeing Tarja live one day, she wouldn't come to my country to perform, the fanbase here is too small. BTW I wonder from what you said, did her pronunciation live sounds that awkward and does it bother you that much, supposed that you are a native English speaker

A Way away is a very very good album, it gives me goosebumps with its dark and creepy atmosphere, still the mixing suffers greaty from the sound wall effect, everything is bombastic, even comparable to Dark Passion Play, and vocal wise it's not as good as its respective Finnish versions.

Came across this old video last december and was mesmerized by the beauty of it, no awkward pronunciation, no over the top chesty vocal placements, everything was precise and pristine. Oh Tarja why can't you always sound like this

Well again it's not her chest voice that makes her singing bad, it's her pronunciation, so trying to be a more versatile singer is not the reason why her singing get worse these days

Wait what? Nothing to do with publicity I think, maybe she feels more at ease with the situtation now than she did before, first she has already reunited with Marco on stage and they had good time, second she always considers the band as her career foundation, she mentioned this many times before, third her good friend Floor is now the main vocalist of the band. I think she has enough reason to let go of the past and feel confident answer to those tricky questions, simply that.

Could be merry Christmas or happy new year emails, what else could they be, since she mentioned they hardly can be friends again

I always admire her for being disciplined and well-planed. Since her departure from nightwish more than 10 years ago, she always keeps herself busy with schedules, fans are well informed of her musical projects, she also sees the importance of fitness in this industry, it's highly appreciated that she took her time to the gym and work out. She looks stunning at the age of 40 for sure. It's just sad that the way she sees fits in terms of singing does not make sense to me, at all.

Wellll, Historicow and Tragicow always annoys me at best

The lack of vibrato makes her last notes sound like yelling/wailing instead of a silky, smooth and polished finish. Well singing in a contemporary style doesn't mean you have to omit vibrato and sing like tremolo, she can def keep it and use it, maybe a bit less frequent than in singing classical

wow, stellar sound quality, and her singing is on point, though the lack of vibrato still bugged me out sometimes.

Now that somebody just made a comment on youtube that she sounds like a singing toad in this trailer, well tbh I guess he is not exaggerating, not at all
