    Within Temptation II

I just came to say that I can't stop listening to Raise Your Banner. It's a solid symphonic metal track, probably their best songs in a decade or so. This makes me excited for its music video and the whole album in general.

    Decades World Tour 2018

I was very excited to hear songs like Wish I Had an Angel and Nemo because São Paulo was my first Nightwish live show. But I kinda get the disappointment of old fans who grew listening that stuff. I find it very counterintuitive to have Dark Chest of Wonders (even though it's a great song) or Last Ride of the Day when it is supposed to be the Decades tour, especially when End of All Hope leaves a big impact as the opener song. I hope the band change their minds involving their choices for the set, or at least some changes and additions for the last gig at Hartwall. I would only support DCoW on the set if Floor kept singing the operatic parts like she did here (5:53), otherwise I still on the EoAH team.

    Tarja Turunen pt. III

Priceless reaction about the John-Two Hawks thing. But this is some great material anyway, love when artists do that kind of stuff.

    Nightwish Off Topic

Quite unexpected, but I certainly appreciate a re-release of that classic. End of an Era is definitely my favourite live album of Nightwish and one of my favourite concerts in general. What makes me curious is that it's not a 10 or 15 year anniversary of the DVD, and the release date coincides near the end of the Decades tour. Perhaps there are some surprises reserved for Hartwall Areena this year?

    Decades World Tour 2018

Finally I'm quiet at home after a long weekend, and I can tell you guys a bit about the incredible last Friday. It all started really on Thursday when my girlfriend and I went to São Paulo, accompanied by a heavy rain. I thought it was going to rain all day next morning, but we woke up on a nice weather in the city. We went to Tom Brasil very early and guaranteed a good position on the VIP area. Luckily we met some nice people in line and so the wait wasn't boring at all. During the morning we saw Delain getting out of their vehicle and later the two bands checked the sound. The night was falling and my excitement only increased. We entered Tom Brasil and waited until Delain hit the stage at 8:40 p.m. The band was in great sync and performed a solid show with a big amount of the audience singing their songs. Charlotte is extremely beautiful in person, and every member had smiled all the time. Marco was a very nice surprise also during Sing to Me. The audience went nuts with the duet. Close to the end, the show seemed a bit short however, and I still loudly asked Charlotte for Danse Macabre, but she replied by saying there would be only one more song, which was We Are the Others. The show was excellent anyway. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wy8eZD2V-UE (Delain - The Glory and the Scum) Then promptly at 10:00 pm Nightwish started with the Decades intro. From then on my heart went off and everything seemed like a dream. Me and my girlfriend's eyes shone with Troy playing Swanheart on the flute, and everyone sang the song massively. Suddenly EoAH would begin and all members appeared. Wow, I remember as if everything had happened in a flash. All my moments with the band, with their music behind me, and then the people responsible for this vehicle of spirit are there on the stage a few centimeters from me. It was surreal. Song by song, the exchange of energy between the audience and the band was phenomenal. Floor was divinely beautiful and singing super good after a month's break. I even made eye contact with her twice, one was during Amaranth if I remember well. I confess I had a bit of prejudice with IWMTB because I always listened to this song on YouTube shows, but personally it's something totally different. It was probably one of the songs that most agitated the audience. However, the highlights were no doubt for Devil & the Deep Dark Ocean in the first place, Slaying the Dreamer, The Kinslayer, TGSoE and GLS. I remember giving myself completely during all these songs. It was just amazing the feeling. My body shuddered and trembled with Floor's verses during Four Point Six (which I even recorded on video and I plan to post later). And yet, I cried and banged during the end of Ghost Love Score. One of the best sensations I've ever experienced in my life, without exaggerators, was something spiritual. Overall, it was a magical concert and it completed another cycle for me. See Nightwish live and be able to experience their music so closely and intimately. I can't wait for the next tour. My connection to this band will remain forever. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHb6j_a56TE (Nightwish - Come Cover Me) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gX2_cRyuBk (Nightwish - Deep Silent Complete) * Some photos I took in my Flickr album.

    Anette Olzon (2º part)

A new date was announced for TDE in Stockholm. Their tour looks like: October 6th, 2018 - Tokyo, JP October 7th, 2018 - Osaka, JP October 13th, 2018 - Stockholm, SE I wish they could squeeze a few dates in Brazil too, but I guess the next step is the second album.

    Within Temptation

Loving this new phase of the band. It's different from their other stuff, but still is Within Temptation no matter what. It's such a funny feeling because at the same time I can hear new elements on The Reckoning, there's also a similar vibe and feeling connecting me with TSF or The Heart of Everything, I don't know. And somehow their new aesthetics reminded me the After Forever's Invisible Circles era, perhaps it's their blue clothes.

    Decades World Tour 2018

Since São Paulo is going to be the first one of the South American tour, I am hoping they will play a couple of surprises on the set. My girlfriend loves The Siren and she's hoping for that song in particular, but as I said to her, I find it unlikely for them to play this one because it worked more like a regular song in the past. The same goes for Dark Chest of Wonders, but I would love to hear it because it'll be my first concert as well and it is easily one of my favourite songs. Nemo, Amaranth and Bless the Child have a special place in my heart once they were the first three ones I got to hear from Nightwish, but the last one is kinda of retired on this Decades tour. I would also not mind if they could replace Come Cover Me by Wishmaster, Planet Hell or another epic in its place. Is such a pale song for me and does not work too well live in my opinion. Anyway, I am really looking forward to the whole experience in general. This has been my definitive favourite band for the last six years, in which part of that time I got to live Nightwish every day. Their music was with me in a lot of difficult moments, happy moments, got me through a lot of experiences. So this may sounds overly dramatic for a few, but it's a kind of spiritual connection. Having this people in front of me playing my favourite music will be epic and will mark one my favourite days ever, I am sure.

    Tarja Turunen pt. III

Nice words from Tarja about the guys in Nightwish. As she said, time heals. Not only this, she mentions in this same interview that she's very satisfied and happy with the current moment of her career. I am so happy for her too, to have achivied what she fought for. Source:

    Ask Tuomas [OPEN]

How is the feeling of playing old classic NW songs? It's all more about the nostalgic charm of playing them again or you still feel the same feelings of when they were created and if you are connected to their lyrics. Whom was the decision to remove Ike Vil's voice from the dialogues of The Kinslayer? I loved the old version, but equally enjoy Marco's performance. Are you going to play The Phantom of the Opera ever again? Do you consider playing a commemorative concert featuring the former members and a live orchestra someday? Can you give us any glimpse of the upcoming NW album? Sonority, theme, lyrics, concept. Please, something. Thank you for your time dear Tuomas, see you in São Paulo next September. Love you maestro!

    Ask Floor [OPEN]

Was your decision to change operatic parts on some songs like The Kinslayer and Sacrament of Wilderness to a more raw and aggressive tone? I personally loved your approach on the dialogue part of Kinslayer, sounds much more vivid. Which dynamics in your voice would you like to use on the upcoming Nightwish album? Is it possible for us to get some solo concerts of Floor Jansen performing the best of After Forever, ReVamp and Nightwish (your era's material)? Silly question: would you become a blonde again? I think you looks really pretty with blonde hair. Which kind of music or bands are you listening recently? Please consider suggest some for us. Thanks for your time dear Floor, see you in São Paulo next September.

    Within Temptation

Wow, I didn't see it coming. Such a very bombastic song, it reminds me the old days of TSF and The Heart of Everything but much more heavy. I immediately loved it by the first listening, can't wait for the full mastered version to come out and with a video please! Sharon's operatic voice at the end is astonishing.

    Decades World Tour 2018

I definitely prefer Wishmaster rather than Amaranth, so that was a good choice. And the girl playing the accordion added a nice element to the song. But as many have said, Floor's operatic vocals sounds really great and clear right now. Don't know if that has something to do with the body changes involving her motherhood or the natural aging, very likely yes. Can't wait to see them in September, it's only two months far away. It will be the first concert of the Latin American tour, so hopefully a few surprises on the set.

    Decades World Tour 2018

Can't wait for the Finnish show! I think they're probably going to film this one or Hartwall for some upcoming release, which would be great. By the way, anyone knows if the show at Wacken will be streamed online? I would love to have a Showtime, Storytime vibe again.

    Anette Olzon

Is there any solid info about their second album? I would love for this to be released sooner than later. About Alyson Avenue, I think she's acting more a like a guest singer for this year's shows. Anyway it's good to see Anette making stuff here and there on her musical carreer.
