    Decades: Live in Buenos Aires

Very solid release. The band performed really well that night, and our "hermanos" from Argentina are certainly amazing when it comes to music and live shows. You can feel that the band is receiving the energy with a smile on their faces. Kudos! Gethsemane is probably my favourite from this DVD. The Kinslayer would be perfect if it wasn't by the aforementioned mistake, but fine, I can live with it. Also, it was a very pleasing watching last night. Me and my girl were remembering the show in São Paulo, two nights before with the exact setlist. Lots of good memories were evoked man! Other songs that were 10/10 for me: End of All Hope, 10th Man Down, Sacrament, DSC, Dead Boy's Poem, Elvenpath, Devil and Nemo. Don't care too much about Come Cover Me or The Carpenter, but they sound really good and solid anyway. In general, I am sure this release is gonna grow in me and become of my favourites.

    Decades: Live in Buenos Aires

I just heard Nemo and is certainly one of its best performances so far. Troy's guitars sounds very clear and audible. The mixing is also very pleasant in general, so much better than Wembley. I am just disappointed to the fact that they weren't able to fix Marko's lines. It's one of my favourite songs and it even might not be played or recorded anytime soon again. Vocally speaking, I think Floor was on the top of her game in Showtime, Storytime. She nailed basically all the setlist and defined some of the best band performances in songs like Dark Chest of Wonders, Storytime and especially Ghost Love Score. So every professional recording that comes after it will always have a bit of a "underwhelming" taste. I mean, she's not bad, far from it. But back in 2013, her voice had much more of a sharper and crystal tone to it, which fitted better such song. Not to mention that they've been playing GLS non-stop since 2012. It's a hard song to pull out I guess, and it demands a lot of energy from the singer. They should definitely give it a rest and return playing it after the upcoming tour.

And their most successful band, by the way. So lame.

Seriously, this is so amateur. A band at the size of Nightwish and there aren't enough people to review these kinds of things... 🤦🏻‍♂️

    Nightwish Off Topic

Zero chemistry between Floor and Marko? Sorry, but they seem to be in the same band for more than 10 years, just look at the Devil & the Deep Dark Ocean 2018 performance. Even when they do not share lines on a song, they make interactions and equal stage moves like on Dark Chest of Wonders. The winning duo by far. Maybe it's more appropriated to say that they suit better the heavier stuff as a duet, while him and Anette were very good on the slower songs and ballads, then I agree. Tarja and Marko sound and look very sincere and natural for me actually. Maybe their voices don't clash that well together on a few songs due their quite distinctive voice tones, but they had something together of course. The Siren, Planet Hell and The Phantom are perfect with them as a duo in my opinion.

    Within Temptation II

Resist is my favourite album of them along with The Silent Force. It feels refreshing and stronger than anything they did since THoE, so the idea of a refined Resist is very promising indeed. Endless War and Raise Your Banner are the finest examples of how WT should sound from now on. Epic and symphonic, but still modern. I also noted that seems like a common thing nowadays for metal bands in particular to get their members in a secluded area in order to write music and absorb inspirations. This must be such a energizing and healing experience, both for body as for the mind as well. I wish I could have a "summer camp" in a forest of Sweden, Norway or Finland anytime soon.

    Decades: Live in Buenos Aires

It will be released tomorrow in Finland because it's a national holiday on Friday, right?

I love this new concept. It gets away from the cliche a little bit. Can't wait to hear the full album, I'm sure it will be one of the best in the band's discography.

This is so revolting and disgusting to watch. I'm very sorry for the band and the fans who where there to see them. From what was reported in the media, a barricade that separated the stage from the audience was broken shortly before the Ev show (stage was already set), however they were unable to fix it in time, which generated chaos in the venue as both Ev and Slipknot had to cancel their shows. According to the burnt setlist, The Chain would be played for the first time live.

They're really great on this song in particular. From Imaginaerum I think Floor nailed Ghost River, it's her best performance from that album. The live version in Wacken is pure gold. And songs like Slow, Love, Slow and Scaretale are perfect on Anette's voice. You can really sense her identity and personal touch on both songs, and that's exactly what makes it their most diverse album in my opinion too.

Is just me or their voices work surprisingly well on this?

    The Upcoming Nightwish Album

Great picture indeed. It's my favourite since that 2012 photoshoot with red background, it was the first with Floor if I remember correctly. Both Tuomas and Marko look younger on this new one too. Mods, shouldn't we already pin this thread on the top of the General Nightwish section? I assume most of the users are interested to discuss the upcoming album rather than EFMB. And it's easier to reach the thread this way too.

The Open Door is probably the best Evanescence record, so that was really exciting to know. And I can already notice a lot of Synthesis influences on The Chain, it is much more symphonic and cinematographic than anything they did before Synthesis. She also mentioned on the Q&A that she would like to duet with Sharon during their upcoming tour. I really think she should join Within Temptation for one song or two. Exciting times ahead! I don't think so. Here's the link for the topic anyway. Me too! Maybe @Damianor @Serenacould fix it?
