    Decades World Tour 2018

"The long-awaited DVD/Blu-ray from the 'Decades Tour' should be finally released in November, according to the info from the band's own manager. The exact date will still be announced." Yeah!

    Decades World Tour 2018

If they release the DVD within the upcoming album's cycle I doubt there's going to be another live package for the next tour. They have to announce something soon!

    The Upcoming Nightwish Album

Since the album will be inspired by the Black Mirror series it'd be a good idea to have the members with masks from the White Bear episode

    The Upcoming Nightwish Album

I would dare to say that they'll release the album on the 27th of March, 2020, the same day EFMB was released in 2015. They usually release things on similar dates every time, it must be something from Tuomas. That day is also a Friday, when most of the albums are released in EU. So the album title and cover should come out in December with the main single in January or February, just like Élan. I hope this time we can have good videos like Nemo or The Islander. Élan is fun and all, but I think something like the Within Temptation level would be great. Undoubtedly Nightwish is the biggest band of Nuclear Blast and one of the biggest metal acts in mainland Europe, they deserve better. A good video is still a great form of marketing, especially in medias like YouTube.

Evanescence. Seems like they're writing and recording the new stuff in Canada between the shows. I wish their album would be released around the time of Nightwish's upcoming record. The two biggest female fronted metal bands releasing new music "together" might give some popularity to the whole scene again. Epica's new album should boost that too. But of course my biggest expectation is for their show with WT, I can clearly see a duet between Amy and Sharon. They both know each other and their sonorities are kinda similar. I find it difficult to happen with Tarja, though. But who knows.

    The Floor thread

She looks gorgeous! What a fantastic personallity she has. I guess they're shooting some pictures for the upcoming DVD, maybe? It should probably come out a few months before the actual album release. Can't wait for more news!

    The Upcoming Nightwish Album

Their best moment with orchestra was definitely Imaginaerum. The entire album is an orchestral and cinematic ensemble, and I honestly don't think they'll ever surpass that particular kind of sound again. That's why I find this type of approach interesting nowadays only if it's well balanced with the musical complexity they used to have in the beginning. Something like the same orchestral sound of Dark Passion Play with some passages and riffs from Oceanborn. That would be bloody awesome!

    Anette Olzon (2º part)

Their debut album was quite good, so I'm really looking forward to hear Songs the Night Sings. Anette also improved a lot as a singer compared to her last Nightwish tour and her stage presence got a lot better, so I'd like to see them doing more live shows and a bigger tour this time around.

Jukka forced to take a break

And this day has come. I'm sad for Jukka's departure because he was such a strong presence on stage, though Kai is a hell of a drummer and I think we'll have an incredible sound on the next album. Good luck for both of them!
  11. I will only be satisfied the day Floor sings the whole discography. But kidding, the songs I want to hear more in order are: Beauty of the Beast Escapist Fantasmic Cadence of Her Last Breath Whoever Brings the Night Turn Loose the Mermaids Creek's Mary Blood Eva Rest Calm Walking in the Air I thought about listing Meadows of Heaven, but this song was so well performed by Anette that I also wish it would stay forever in my memory with her voice. Anyway these are one of the rare / forbidden songs that Tuomas avoid performing live to keep its magic, so maybe we won't hear it ever again. Include BBB and MPG on the same list too for obvious reasons (Bye Bye should fit Floor's vocals like a glove, though I can imagine how ridiculously odd it would possibly be for her to sing about Tarja and Nightwish's feud in 2020/21).

    Favourite lead single?

Nemo is the biggest single of the band without doubts, but Storytime wins because it defines its album really well, so the perfect lead single.

    Decades World Tour 2018

Is the Decades DVD still a thing? I was not following the news that much, but I guess they're a bit quiet about it. They usually put out live releases around November and December, so let's see. Hope they won't discard the material 'cause the whole Buenos Aires performance was pure fire. And Floor's renditions of the old stuff are just too fine to not be immortalised.

    Within Temptation II

This is really great news for both fanbases! And I wish the two ladies could share the stage together. Can totally imagine Amy joining WT on a song like Supernova or The Reckoning. But I guess it would depend on which band is heading the bill. Regarding Resist, I can only say that this piece is the best one since The Heart of Everything, it's a super mature and solid work in my opinion. Hydra has its moments but it got lost throughout the way, and I never was too fond on The Unforgiving. Not to mention I always find myself listening to Endless War, Mad World or Supernova, they're just so cohesive. And I like how the band made one song kind of speak to each other. Hope they'll put out a DVD of this current tour.

    The Upcoming Nightwish Album

So it's finally time for the upcoming album, it felt like ages since EFMB. I am interested on how Tuomas will input some Black Mirror influences on the songs, once that series is really diverse and deals with all kind of stuff. About the use of orchestra I have a feeling it will be decreased this time and I'm totally okay if it goes along with the album proposal. I just hope we'll have more Floor and Marco's duets, more guitars and more keyboards.
