    Decades World Tour 2018

I also have to say that one of the happiest moments of my life was during TGSOE. It happened at the show in Himos park two years ago. During the part "Life" I looked up at the full moon shining above us, and suddenly something just clicked inside me. As Floor sang "we are one, we are a universe", I stared at the moon and I felt it. I felt that we all really are connected, the moon up there and us little humans down here. The feeling lasted only for five seconds or so but it was very powerful, almost "spiritual" if you like those kind of things. I'm forever grateful for Tuomas for composing that song, it's not even an overstate to say that it changed my life. I think it's not the best composition Tuomas has done music-wise, but it translates the phenomenon of life and evolution to a "language" that I can feel in my heart. And that's the main thing for me. Of course everyone has their own opinion on TGSOE and I don't say that everyone must like it, but a song that can bring up these kind of emotions (and I know I'm not the only one) can't be utterly crap. I'd say some cake cake cake songs by Rihanna are more like crap but heck, if someone has found happiness because of them what can I say? We can always measure a value of a composition based on theory of music but is it the one and only criterion for a good song? I think not.

    Decades World Tour 2018

I fell in love with Floor's Kinslayer so it was very sad not to hear it in a festival set. Well, Amaranth still is a huge crowd pleaser, so...

Yeah, might be. Maybe he just compared Floor's singing in lower key with original key and thought she sings completely out of tune

    Decades World Tour 2018

And some guy in Finnish heavy metal fans forum complained that Nightwish was worse than ever at Ilosaarirock and singing was out of tune... yeeeah right 😄

By the way, I don't know if everyone else knows this already, but for me it was a shocking discovery that it really takes exactly 3 minutes from that "now I only have three minutes and counting" line to the last "save me" and the poet getting killed 😁 maybe I'm just stupid haha

    Ask Tuomas [OPEN]

Hi Tuomas! Have you ever ridden your horse? His solo in the song Savant is amazing 😁

    Ask Floor [OPEN]

Hi Floor. As you're from the Netherlands there's one topic I'd like to share with you. I don't even need any answer to this, I just need to write about this. So I'm from Finland myself but I was in the Netherlands one year ago. I had an internship in a pig farm and worked there for six weeks. What I saw there was unbelievably horrible. I think this is not the right place to tell about every gruesome detail but I assure you, those pigs were far from happy. I also got to visit some other pig farms and talk with farmers about how the pig industry works there. The farm where I was working owned 600 sows (mother pigs) and I was told that this is just a small farm, the biggest farms in the Netherlands own 2000 sows! I was also told that there were too many cows in the Netherlands, so to decrease the amount of litter they produce, every cow owner had to slaughter 5% of their cattle. Why I wanted to write all this is because I have absolutely no idea what to do. Now that I know what the pig industry and agriculture overall are like in the Netherlands I can't just let it be. I have a profession in agriculture and animal husbandry and I'm actually studying animal behaviour at the moment, so I have some knowledge of these things and could try to tell farmers how to do things better and benefit their animals' welfare. The problem is that some farmers tend to be kinda... stubborn. Not all, but some of them don't even take me seriously 'cause I'm a young woman, so "what does a girl know about these things". Then again, I've been told that it's good to have a woman in a barn 'cause "we men don't have feelings for animals" and thanks to my caring there were less dead piglets in a barn... sigh. Long story short, if you have time to answer I'd like to know if you have witnessed this kind of animal husbandry in the Netherlands, or know any Dutch farmers yourself. Enjoy the Decades tour!

Woah, reading these comments makes me feel lucky that I am just a simple fangirl who is so blinded by the glorious NW that she still enjoys those live clips 100% though mixing is bad and filming is bad and Wembley arena looks small and Troy plays wrong and what else I might be a fool but I didn't even notice those things before they were mentioned on this forum, haha! I'd probably be a person who'd buy any garbage which has a NW logo

    Dreams about Nightwish

Haha that was a bit like my own dream some time ago! In my dream Floor was sick and didn't have a voice to sing, so somehow I ended up being a temporary singer. The gig started and the first song was The Poet and The Pendulum. It began pretty well actually, I remember that I had a nice voice unlike in real life But when it was time for The Pacific, I suddenly forgot all the lyrics. I just froze completely and stood there without knowing what to do. I heard someone whispering "get her off the stage!" And so poor Floor had to come to sing though her voice should have had rest. My last thought before waking up was: "Damn, it will surely be in Youtube tomorrow"

They didn't play Ghost Love Score at Himos park last August, so maybe they are preparing to let that song go?

    Vehicle Of Spirit

I think she just forgot the right lyrics She also sings "sitting on the shoulders" instead of "singing on the shoulders" in Ghost Love Score.

    Vehicle Of Spirit-DVD

Jep.
